Researchers at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Department of Computer Science
have figured out how to read what you’re typing on your smartphone’s virtual keyboard via
“compromising reflections.” According to the team, which calls its technique “iSpy,” the goal
was to “investigate the implications of the ubiquity of personal mobile devices and reveal new
techniques for compromising the privacy of users typing on virtual keyboards.”
